Hey guys. I've got the newest a&a dongle. Any power to be had by removing the filter off the dongle or is it just when you remove the entire thing and screen the blower?

Just remove the dongle and leave the filter in the general location were it would normally be with the dongle on.
Whatever you do don't leave anything loose near the blower inlet.
Also don't leave the silicone coupler attached to the inlet of the blower by itself, as it will get sucked in and make contact with the impeller. Trust me if a cotton ball gets sucked in at 55,000+ impeller rpm it will act like a rock and tear up the impeller and could also trash the blower.
Here was a Ysi that was spinning at 68,000 impeller rpm when a dyno room fan cord was sucked in that was draped across the fender/blower area.
Here is a impeller that had the silicone coupler make contact at speed.

my car was tuned without a filter and mesh over the blower. i have no comparison numbers but with my butt dyno and watching the boost gauge i see no difference when running my 4" inlet and filter as to nothing with mesh.
id rather run with the filter anyway, one rock and there goes my motor/blower and a ton of $$$
now the stock dongle on the other hand sucks, put a 4" inlet and filter.

I've done some dumb **** working on my car but that takes the cake. Did someone before that say, hey, hold my beer and watch this? I understand having a fan near by to supply the blower with ambient air but how a cord gets that close is hilarious.
