Just looked at this hood on VIS' website. Now going for over 1300? I know this is an old thread but why has the price almost doubled?

1997-2004 Chevrolet Corvette 2Dr Cowl Induction Carbon Fiber Hood. VIS Carbon Fiber Hoods and Trunks are made from 100% ISO-certified, Grade-A carbon fiber material. All VIS Carbon Fiber Hoods and Trunks are manufactured using a two-part construction design. That would be my guess...and some how probably Trumps fault too.

Did you do those extractor vents yourself or did a shop? and how is the lift on the hood with them? I have the same hood and I've been reading alot of lift on it over 140.

i cut the vents myself. I havent had a single issue with my hood other than fitament right above the wheel wells sucking.

Got Mine awhile back and had to put the louvers on it for high speeds. No more lift issues now, and alot more cooling efficient

trackspec vents look awesome.

Thanks. It hurt me to cut into a new hood though. I drove it day one at high speeds (140-160) and you could see the front of the car lift from the under hood pressure and lift pressure. I immediately got these louvers lol

I LOVE that 4" cowl but that bitch still won't clear a high ram haha
