Took me a while to find someone who would weld these aluminum pieces up for me. The first guy kept my stuff for several weeks and didn't touch them so I finally just picked them up and looked elsewhere. Had a friend of my neighbor's do the SS bungs on the headers but he didn't want to mess up my valve covers so I finally found Johnny True Torch (yes, that's his business' name) and he made short work of the aluminum fittings in ~20 minutes while I waited.
I had him weld two 3/8" NPT fittings - one for the IAT sensor in the charge tube and one for the brushless Spal fan temp sensor in a 1-7/8" Al tube. He welded the -10 fittings onto the valve covers that I had drilled out to 1/2". I have a MM Draft Oil Can I'll be attaching the braided lines from the vc's to.
Yes - they're the plain polished version of the Proforms. I polished everything around the fittings after he welded them on since he had to roughen the area up before welding. Very cool guy and I would recommend him to anyone in the LA/Irvine/Lake Forest area who needs anything welded. He's actually a bicycle builder who's been doing this for 20+ years. He also has a mobile service where he'll come to you.
