Pulled pump and rotated and re installed, didn't seem to change a thing. Still nothing lines up due to rotation...at my whits end. Might just drill the tank if I can't get this figured out soon.
I shouldn't have to force the pump counter clockwise for things to line up. It's not clear what I am doing wrong.
(this is my guess) I think whats happening is now that the pump is 1" out due to the ring, there are bits that are making contact with the tank. This stops it from rotating the 1/4" more (or so) that I need.
I took the pump out and rotated it, re installed, but it makes contact with the tank. Its either way the hell off, or so very close.

Removed the fuel ring and the pump goes back in and aligns perfectly. Idk
Did you bend the tube that is hitting the inside of the tank?? I had suggested that the other day. That is what was the deal with my setup which is just like you are complaining about.

Same problem and same fixed result as above. No problems with setup in over year and a half
I did see your post about bending the metal piping, however I wanted to try all other steps first. I bought this kit as it was suppose to be bolt in and go, so I was hoping I didn't need to bend ****.
So is #1 or #2 what I will be bending, want to confirm before I do it. Trying not to wreck stuff in the process. Also what method did you use to massage it?

you would figure they would have told you what needed to be done in the first place or at least offered help after they obviously know you are having issues with the install

Indeed
I think at this point I'd just man handle the thing and bend that #1 pipe. I'd try to do it so that it moved the pick up straight away from where it's hitting

But it's easy for me to say that from my couch
or tap the tank and install a bulkhead fitting instead and run the feed line off of that and ditch the fuel ring... not sure how the ecs system works but that might be an option if you don't get it resolved
Next step is tapping the tank for a bulk head fitting. That would leave me with this fuel ring, that I paid for in the cost of the fuel system. I shot a message to Doug to call me when he can, need their tech to explain modifying the lines because I don't want to break them. Otherwise bulk head fitting and asking them to help out with the fuel ring costs (refund) would be next.
Ideally using the kit as purchased is my goal, but goals/reality sometimes diverge.
