one of the two bypass valves are leaking on my procharger. the are located on the bottom pipes i have the twin intercooler setup also. was wondering how should i got about getting a replacement one or change both? what brand should i get? wouldn't mind getting a nice sounds one also. any input would be great!!
Any
one else? My bypass valve doesn't recirculate back into the intake tubejust releases into the atmosphere does a BOV have a vacuum hose to it like a bypass valve does?
whats the 50mm mean inlet size??? thats a bypass valve i have right? but its just not recirculating back to the system correct?
Basically I would just like to know if I can replace my current bypass diaphragm with my boost currently at 7PSI setup with a spring operated BOV with a 7PSI spring without any drive-ability issues?

Superchargers use bypass valves
Turbos use blow off valves
Not the same thing. Replace it with a supercharger bypass valve and it should be fine.

So how do I go about getting the cool air vented to the atmosphere sound that BOV produce just leave the recir bypass valve like it currently is the pic I uploaded above to achieve that?

There's one easy way to find out..
It will never sound like a turbo car if that's what you're after. I can hear mine during shifts when driving aggressively, but bypass valves work opposite of a BOV, it's just how the systems work.
Bypass valves are open when driving easy then close when you get close to 0 vacuum and into boost. BOV's are normally closed then open when there's a surge of air (i.e. during shifts)
Ok I understand better now thank you for the help.
As far as buying a new one is there a certain brand recommended? What difference would I notice in function from a $50 ebay bypass to a $240 tial bypass? Longevity? wont release at the right 7psi?

Not a clue what the differences are.. I've got the loud as hell Tial one and it works great, whichever one that is. I know if you get one too small you'll have issues with not being able to dump enough air, surging, etc.

Just replace it with something modern.
Dont get hooked up on ******** names people call them or miscall them.
As long as it vents air when you close the throttle, the name really doesnt matter as they do the exact same job.
I would run a solid pipe underneath, and do one "Big Red"Race valve about a foot @ half in front of the throttle body. Basically where the factory intake filter would be.
