Default intercooler question...

I am doing some reading and I am sure ill ask more questions before starting my rear mount turbo build. I have in my budget to use the treadstone passenger inlet, top outlet intercooler... However is there any way I could use the intercooler that's in the picture to do the same? Maybe weld the bottom driver side inlet shut? or I've seen the placement of BOV's on the intercooler, May be weld a BOV there ? Just idea before I get the typical don't be cheap skate, don't use Chinese parts , blah blah blah , etc.

Build will be more than likely be a
on3 78 turbo rear mount
stock block (already has 243's and turbo cam)
93 pump tune
80 lb injectors
werx oil pump
Meth or nitrous
try to copy other rear mount builds that have been done.

Thanks in advance

Chuck

Without welding an entirely new tank on the bottom, it would be a total waste. Weld up the passenger side and you're only using half the intercooler since air won't flow into the other half due to the tank design.
Consider the A&A Ram Air intercooler. It is as far forward as you can get an intercooler, but well thought out with regard to airflow. You can also buy their shroud that surrounds the radiator and intercooler for maximum effectiveness, as well as the charge pipe plumbing between the intercooler and throttle body.
PM BlownBlueZ06@RKT56 if I can help.
