Anyone have any experience with the A&A 2004 Corvette Supercharger Kit? Do I need to make modifications to the standard transmission to manage the increased torque and HP? All advice read.

You bolt on 100 HP, and stuff's gonna break. You AT, or MT?

Not really, I've got a buddy that slapped an old Vortech kit on his C5. Probably makes 440rwhp or so. It has 200,000 miles on it. 100k with the blower. No issues. Depends on how it's driven.

I would say yes if you have an auto transmission. A manual should hold up fine, but the clutch will eventually need to upgraded. Don't do any hard launches at the track and she'll be fine.

I agree with this ^^^^^^ for sure, especially if A4, but I think you mean you have a manual as in standard?

Depends on usage of the car.
If automatic trans:
Not a drag racer, just a fun street car running street tires and not drag radials making anything below 575rwhp should be fine if trans has good tune and was in good shape to begin with.
If you will be drag racing regularly on drag radials making anything above 550rwhp, it will eventually need to be replaced with a built RPM Transmissions unit and new converter and external trans cooler.
If manual trans:
Not a drag racer, just a fun street car running street tires and not drag radials making anything below 600rwhp should be fine if clutch was in good shape to begin with.
If you will be drag racing regularly on drag radials making anything above 550rwhp, it will eventually need a better clutch I prefer to go straight to the Centerforce DYAD twin disc and never look back. Then if you try to launch it hard on drag radials above about 3600 rpm it will grenade the stock C5 rear diff and might break the trans output shaft and case at same time. Then you will need fully built trans and diff with brace. OR if you really want to drag race and make big power over 800rwhp do a full TR6060/ZR1 trans/diff conversion and never look back.

I have been running an A&A V3 Si supercharger for a few years now. My car is a fun car not a drag racer. It made 502 hp on the dyno. The engine is completely stock except for the valve springs which I had to change because my tuner encountered valve float at 5300 rpm during the dyno runs. With a 3.6" pulley it makes approximately 10 psi of boost. With the original tires, traction was a big problem. There was no hope of getting off the line without wheel spin. Even from a roll wheel spin was a problem. I upgraded to C5 ZO6 wheels and installed Nitto 305's in the back. No more wheel spin, however the stock clutch will slip badly from a standing hard launch. It does not slip from a roll or in normal use though. I plan to install a stronger clutch in the near future. Hope you find this useful.

I just want to thank everyone for all the input. I have the stock automatic transmission, and don't plan on racing the car, just wanted a little more from it. I have not found a street scenario where I can even bring it up to 3500 rpm without putting my liberty at serious risk. With only 26000 miles on the engine it isn't really even broken in yet.
