Since this is more C5 specific, I am going to try askign here first rather than in the drag racing section.
How can both active handling and traction control be disabled on a full drag car? I have numerous things deleted/removed on the car including the ABS system. If I foot brake the car, anything over 2500 RPM causes the car to break up and spudder. Is the only solution the LapTrax module?
I installed this module a while back. It's similar to the LapTrax. It automatically puts the car into whatever initial mode you program it for (AH/TC, TC, Comp or neither) when you first start the car. You can defeat it by hitting the AH/TC button and turn it all off or hit it again to have it all back on. It keeps the car in the last stored mode until you reset/reprogram it so if, for instance, you always want AH/TC off, you program it for that and the car always starts in that mode.
Unless I'm missing something the answer was earlier(Chicago1), push button once and let go and it disables both, (Orange warning of back of Vette on dash) if you want it permanent you have to do something else. To get to competitive driving as you already know you hold it down, my 2001 has no other options I know of.

Correct - my driver's manual says to press the AH/TC button once to turn them both off. I use the module above to keep whatever setting I want between ignition cycles.
