I'm about to spray my car for the first time and I've been reading up but want some opinions and critques of my setup. My car is a '99 C5 with a twin filter intake, BBK SSI, LG Street LTs, and a tune by EPS. I recently purchased a NOS 78MM plate kit, have the NOS TPS and window switch, and going with a LPE LNC-2000 to pull timing when it's armed. I'm going to run a 100HP shot. Is this a flywheel or a RWHP rating on the wet systems? I plan on running NGKBR7EF plugs gapped at 32. I'm concerned about the fuel system and getting a pressure drop when I first engage it and going lean. Can the stock C5 fuel pump support this power and prevent a pressure drop or should I upgrade my fuel pump before I spray? What setting should a FPSS be set at? I've read that some people have had problems with them tripping from the initial pressure drop, which makes me not want to install one. Insight from you experienced guys would be appreciated.
I would atleast install a walbro 340/in tank pump before spraying... just as a peice of mind.
I didn't know you could install a 340 in a C5.. The kits I'm seeing are the Lingenfelter Walbro 255 and the Racetronix 255 with the upgraded witing harness. Would either of these work well?
I appreciate everyone's quick response! Makes me feel better about spraying on the stock pump, all my buddies have F bodies and think I shouldn't, I keep telling them the C5 pump can handle it.
