Default Installing headers, 2.5" or 3" catback?

2000 LS1-346 w V3Si, 3.4 pulley and a cam making 547 rwhp w stock manifolds and intermediate pipe into a 15yr old corsa touring cat back.

Plan is for some Kooks 1 7/8" with their 3" green catted x pipe shooting for 600rwhp.

Question is: 2.5" or 3" catback? I really like this old corsa catback I'm currently running which is 2.5". Am I leaving a lot on the table by staying w 2.5" or should I go with a 3" catback and have 3" all the way?

If no more rwhp & that I don't see it worth the extra money for used are new cat back. The c5 exhaust is bad any way but the cost But if you can sell your 2.5 for a ok price then buy the 3 inch I would go for that.

maybe I should have posted in tech. I always figure cuz I have a blower it belongs here

I talked with a Kooks tech and he basically felt the dif in hp would be minimal. Guessing 8-10hp tops. I'll keep my 2.5" and save the dough.

You probably... No wait... You won't have a need for a 3" cat back system with your combo.

Any links to it? I've looked and haven't been able to find one.
