No plans. Creating the bottom gear with 2 degree increments filled in enough gaps for the strength of the bottom gear to not be a concern and I have never, in my 30yrs of building cars, needed or wanted to adjust a cam beyond what my set offers.

I was just thinking ahead if I get a cam that when I go to degree it, I need to fine tune it some.

I've installed a few of these now and I've had other engine builders compliment the robust chain these timing sets come with.

Purchase with confidence from blownbluez06@rktperformance.

While you're there for some additional insurance, purchase the cam hear bolt locking retainer plates he sells too! It's cheap insurance that your cam gear bolts will stay put. I recommend these things for anyone even if you have a bone stock timing set.

Hey Jon, I apologize for not catching this question sooner. My timing set will fit anywhere the OEM timing set will fit. No oil pump spacing required.

I do need to say that the LS9 timing gear is different than the LS3/7 timing gear and my dry sump LS3/7 lower timing gear will not replace the LS9, however, you can reuse the LS9 timing gear and replace only the top gear or now buy only the chain for 99.00 shipped.

I'm looking to replace my snapped timing chain and wondering how many people use this chain for the road course? How many hours/miles on it and how's it holding up?

Thanks

What balancer were you using when it snapped?

Thanks for asking. I would welcome anyone that's running my chain, good or bad to step in and speak. I've not been made aware of any failures to date. Up until my design, my favorite chain was the C5R chain. I like their thicker links especially, but only one of each pair of links is thicker. I never understood why, but I made sure that mine were equal thickness and made from top grade materials. All premium materials, stress relieved, heat treated and tempered coupled with thicker pins and oiling holes in the rollers to keep surface temps down are all part of the winning recipe.

I'm wondering what part of your timing chain failed. Have you looked at the valve tips for "stars" that indicate valve float? I may be stating the obvious, but valve float will increase the shock loads and lead to premature failure.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Can some one post a link to this timing set. I've looked at the RKT Performance site and I don't see this set at all.
Thanks
