Default Which piston rings for FI?

My block is built for nitrous. I am going turbo. I have wiseco gfx rings. Do I need to switch rings to a different set?

The rings are fine, but that CR could be a problem.

Yes the heads are being changed out as well as the cam and gasket. I was just wanting to make sure the rings were okay.

Sounds good I run the same rings and no complaints there.

Well that CR is a little on the high side for pump gas, but if your changing heads and you could get it down a little I don't see why you couldn't do FI. E85 and you could leave the CR if you can't get it down any. GL!

The plan is to go with some 72cc heads to help lower the compression. But I not against swapping pistons and rings to use a better suited set of pistons that are meant for Turbo/SC. But if the pistons and rings are fine for those applications. I will leave my block alone and focus on gasket and head cam setup. Any input is always appreciated. Yes I will be running E85.

I was just reading and I see that my domed weisco pistons are specifically for nitrous am I correct thinking that? I also noticed I miss typed my rods it's 6.125.

The GFX ring is a steel nitrided top and Napier second ring!

Total seal AP rings steel top ring (PVD coated I believe) and napier second.

Hellfire Rings use a ductile iron

Good to go!

On that note no ring will survive if the gap is too small for the power produced or they are installed incorrectly.

So I should be okay to run what rings I have now? Along with the pistons?

I'm assuming it's a Wiseco K464X3903 piston? Great slug! Those rings and pistons should be ok for your 200 shot of spray. I'd recommend tool steel pins and ARP2000 bolts in your connecting rods if you don't already have them.
