Default Cooling

You guys running twin turbo. Where to start on cooling. Should I go with radiator first or a spal fan set up. Doesn't take too much romping to get temps around 220*

Don't know if you still have the plastic shroud or not, but sometimes when modifying the plastic shroud, it tends to lay flat on the condenser, not allowing air to enter in. Connect a zip tie and separate the shroud from the condenser to allow air flow and this should help.

Check the airflow but an oil cooler is a great way to keep the temps down. The fans only help <30mph, if you're getting high temps at cruising speeds they won't matter.

Cant go wrong with a big aluminum rad and dual Spal fans but airflow will be key. Some guys open up the front bumper license plate and fog lamp areas to help air get in.

My thread may give you an idea,

I don't have a turbo but I have the dewitts with stock fans on my ECS setup. With the 160 thermostat and the fans reprogrammed it doesn't go over 190* unless I've been beating on it.

first put a rubber airdam about 2" above ground behind the radiator, actually where the original contraption was, more or less inline with the side rubber pieces. see what that does for you. you will be rubbing now and then, but so what?
