Default Drag racing suspension with boost

So I'm about to pull the trigger and get coil overs for my vette problem is I can't decide what front and rear spring rate to go with for drag racing my car is over 600rwhp+ and I'll be running 28' Hoosier gtp and launch off of a two step launch system I was thinking 350lbs springs front and 700lbs springs rear any advice or real world experience would help thanks

OEM Leaf works great.

1.2x 60' with QA-1 SA shocks.
1.3x 60' with OEM shocks.

Any particular reason you want to spend a lot on Coil Over shocks?

And, if you're set on getting some, it seems the Viking brand is pretty popular and has shown to work well. Call and ask their tech dept. I've heard they are very helpful.

Have fun with your goals!

As a side note, what gearing in your rear? A 28" tire is kinda tall for stock gearing. Especially with only 600+/- hp.

Default Soft

My gear is 3.42 on a m6 I got those tires so it would soften the launch on the car on the 2step and a monster 11 race clutch my car is violent off the launch

A C5 diff I presume? And a 16" wheel?

If it were my car, I'd use a 26" tire and not use the 2-step. Keep plenty of air in the bias ply tire to make sure you get some tire speed at the hit. That will help mitigate the possible breakage.

Still no help with your original question though...

Good Luck!

Yeah I would go to a 26' but I have 28 already lol and bro I appreciate the info and opinions that might give me better knowledge and understanding so your good honestly I'm not a very good driver so I try and focus on hardest launch possible where I can still get traction and not have to worry about slipping and feathering as much

my car hooked up better with stock z51 suspension than it does now with LG coilovers. I will likely switch to viking double adjustable but I wish the shop that swapped my suspension kept the stock stuff as I'd love to just go back to stock honestly.

He'll yeah huskers baby!!! I just pulled the trigger on the viking coil overs I'm just going to wing it and go with 350lbs spring front and 600lbs spring rear I'm trying to get the car to weight transfer so I can use those tall tires to take the force and yes it hasc5 diff with upgraded clutches and 16' wheels

Let us know how it works. Can you post what you paid for it also? Looking to get a set of Vikings later this year.

I've got the double adj rears with 600lb springs. I don't have a lot of testing on them with a 28" tire and auto trans at 700 RWHP. The car hooks but I haven't left with any real boost yet. Front are in the near future mainly to get the nose out of the weeds.

I can leave at 3800 rpm's and about 2-3lbs of boost. Obviously leaving that soft I haven't had any issues with a 295-50-16 M/T Drag radial . When I can leave at 5-6lbs it could be a different story.

Will they do stiffer front springs? I'd like to actually raise my front a bit and keep it from scrapping from the extra weight of the centri setup.
