I've had centris, turbos and n20. They all have their place and limiting to 700rwhp a centri would probably be fine. However if you're like most of us once you hit your goals you'll want more.
Turbos are more complex, generally speaking and I know there are forum members who have no belt issues, however with turbos there are no belts to break or maintain and if configured properly adjustable boost is very convenient.

Thanks for all the input guys. After much consideration I've decided to go the twin turbo route. Also decided today to switch back to my 3:42 diff since I'll be making so much more hp and tq.

TT... My single turbo combo has a 3 rib 3.42 differential.
