Default ABS module removal?

So I'm in the process of going turbo on my 99 c5 and My ABS module (I think that's what it's called) is taking up a list of potential room for making the turbo fit better. It has not been plugged in from the connector for the past 2ish years maybe and I have done highway pulls and brakes hard from 150mph with the braked never locking up on me before. It is a street car and I am looking to make more power.
Question is can I remove the whole module without affecting the braking or safety part of it? If so has anybody ever done it? Thanks.

mine's removed on my 03. cleans up a ton of room, you just have to do a proportioning valve for the brakes is all. I cut all the harness out and everything on mine. I do half mile and go 190 in the half with zero issues and drive mine on the street.

Do you have a specific prop valve you would recommend? I am looking to do this over the winter and want to accumulate all the parts I can in the meantime.

Thanks very much! I'm certain I follow you on Instagram with your Blue c5 correct? Any chance you could list some of the parts you used to do yours as far as who you went with and all that?

I removed mine. I ran new lines to all the calipers and installed a wilwood adjustable porportional valve for the rear brakes.

Will cruise control still work after this is removed and codes turned off?

Don't know I am running the fast xfi. Op said his isn't plugged in. So in his case it wouldn't matter.

My car's not gangsta like some of you guys, but my ABS and power booster is gone. Just have lines to each brake caliper. No proportioning valve.

Track only car though.

None.
No wheel speed sensors. No ABS. No way for anything to lock anything up.

Im saying from hard braking and locking up the brakes. No issues with that since there is no proportioning valve?

Oh. Sorry bout that. Lol.

I have Strange drag brakes.

I don't brake hard enough to lock them up. I have gotten on them pretty aggressively while bracket racing, but so far haven't locked them up.

I'd really have to put my foot through the floor to get them to lock up.

Yea mine works, The dreaded service light abs/tcs will stay lit up. Mine is also disconnected from the module just hanging around up front. No problems though from braking. Also don't know who much volts are on the tcs system but better for lightweight batteries, less accessive battery draw.
