Turbos and hotside have been coated by Swain Tech and mocked up. Had our body shop paint the LQ4 block bright red, will be picking it up when ever I get over to our body shop next (split locations).

Block still isn't painted, gonna go to the body shop in the morning and find out what the hold up is.
Got the oil pan set up, thinking of fabricating a heat shield to go down the sides. Lingenfelter oil block that will feed my oil cooler, temp gauge, and turbos.
Getting pretty frustrating....my 2nd Holley High Ram showed up today....and just like the 1st one the base is not machined properly and the plenum cover does not fit right as a result....
Is the Holley hi ram worth it? I was going to use a LS6 intake with my blower [Going to be around 700whp]....but now that I see you had to send your Holley back because of poor machine work.....idk if I wanna spend the 700$.
I have actually sent 2 back for the same problem. Calling around tomorrow to see how much we can get a COPO high ram for, as well as calling Holley to raise some hell.
One reason I want the High Ram is I plan to go A2W in the future.

It depends on your setup. The hi ram needs higher rpm to make power gains. If you are more of a street car and staying around 7000 rpm or less, its probably not for you.

Are you going to sandwich a 4" intercooler in the Holley?
Lots of frustration in the last few months. Surgery on my right hand / wrist / elbow. Also found the machine shop fucked up my new block - none of the bores are round and are pretty damn inconsistent cylinder to cylinder. So now the court case is in the works.....sigh....Going to try to get them to pay for having it bored / honed again and new pistons and new balancing since the rest of the block has already been worked / machined.

FINALLY progress has resumed. Brought my block to Goodwin Competition to have them straighten it out. Needed to go from 4.005 to 4.010 to make them round and true. That required some custom Wiseco Pistons. Took the opportunity to go from an 8cc dish to a 20cc dish to bring the compression down to a manageable 9.7ish.
I am finally assembling the engine. After a 2 hour delay in grinding / drilling out a broken thread chaser (that was all the way in) I got the rotating assembly done. Tomorrow I plan to finish the long block.

Almost done with the engine. Discovered my timing chain was a little stretched so I am going to replace it. Also discovered I didn't have the gaskets for the valley cover.
Another day in the shop, got the long block finished up. The rockers have the trunion upgrade. Added the Improved Racing oil pump pickup clamp as well.
Monday morning I am driving to Baileigh Industrial to pick up their RDB-10 tubing bender so I can get started on bending up all the hard lines I will be using for the gates and such.
