Airborne.... all the way!

There is a part of my mind which wanted me to come here just to say thank you for making your post title rhyme. It sound very Seussian, but the project looks more like Mr Rogers' tattoo sleeved arms. Badass.

Strike Hold!

FWIW, Mr. Rogers having sleeves is pure urban legend - just like him being a sniper during 'nam.

Only a few items left I am waiting on - the eboost2, Magnafuel 4303 fuel pump, and a few odds-n-ends....Hoping to bring the car to the shop in the next 3ish weeks to begin putting it all together.

Been busy last few days. First I made braided stainless fuel lines to go from the fuel rails to the regulator. Then decided to bend hard lines for them. Still don't know which I like more. Also bent up steam vent lines. The hard lines will either get polished, anodized, or painted. not sure yet. Really put my Baileigh Industrial tubing bender to work today lol.

This is looking great!

Where did you get the bracket to mount the FPR?

I want hard lines just like that.

Where did you source the fittings and tubing?

Or, just ship that to me and make yourself some new stuff... lol

the FPR bracket is part Motion Raceworks, part Aeromotive.

the fittings are Fragola, the aluminum tubing is Summit. All from Summit.

I could ship you these, but there would be a cost to it. between the materials and time....you know....

I am not sure if I am going to paint, anodize, or polish the lines yet...

-8 from each pump to the main fuel line
5/8 hard line (-10) from a few feet in front of the tank to the Y behind the fuel rails.
1/2 hard line (-8) from the Y to the rails and to the regulator.
3/8 hardline (-6) from the regulator to the tank

Having had issues in the past with aluminium line...already anodised ( Russell ) but holing after a couple of years usage....I would never trust it again for fuel lines, especially high pressure EFI

IMO teflon only, perhaps even more so on the engine where it will be subject to vibration etc.

Progress is coming along slowly for now. Engine is 99.9% done, just have to finalize a few things. Then once a lift opens up at the shop my 'vette will get drug down and assembly will begin. Still shooting for it to be drivable this summer yet.

Still going to play with drain line length, but this is pretty much how it will go. Waiting on my line sleeving to come in this week before cutting the hose I will use and installing them.

So, after several job changes, moving (again) and my first semester of school being finished, I have finally began making progress again. Started to tear the front suspension / engine cradle apart so it can be scrubbed clean and possibly bead blasted.

Just hit it with some aluma brite and a pressure washer....no scrubbing needed.

Some progress over the last few days. Did a LOT of cleaning. The engine cradle was covered in oil and the rest of the front suspension was just dirty. Have a little more work to do on the suspension, and when I finish cleaning up the cradle I am going to bead blast it to make it all pretty. Clearanced the engine mount brackets and engine mount. Started mocking up the cold side as well. New knock sensor delete valley cover came in as well. Tomorrow I should finish cleaning up the engine cradle. I plan to remove all the excess casting flash and all the crap that was not completely removed during machining.

Today's progress. Mocked up the intercooler and duct. Not much more to be done for a few days, waiting on a bunch of lines and fittings for the vacuum/oil systems. Decided to break out the threaded insert kit and go to town. Also plan to seal the intercooler duct better to the intercooler with rubber strips.
