Default Meth or e85?

Hey guys, I have a 98 coupe and I'm in the middle of putting a&a kit with a jam cam and headers on... I was told to go with a meth kit... I was wondering if its more cost effective to go e85 or not.

I run meth on my d1sc c5, and i run e85 on my ctsv, the ctsv is flex fuel so I can run both pump and e85, to make a c5 flex fuel would not be cheap or easy, I think

How much do you use this car? E85 = bad gas mileage and big power car on e85 = horrible gas mileage.

I do not daily drive my car so I went with E85. I also have meth and I could by with only E85 but I want the cooling effect and to be safer. My car made just under 900 on the last build. I am also using a F1r procharger and they are known to make heat.

Not daily driver just fun weekend car... I want reliable I'm not looking for huge power. Right now and yea I think for the mileage it's about a dollar cheaper a gallon where I'm at so it will prolly equal out but I'm not sure what kinda of expense I'm looking at in the conversion

I know meth kits are about 500-600

E85 all the way. Easy too. Flex fuel sensor and the right ECU. If your tuner knows whats up he can do it.

If I was doing my build over again (twin turbo), I would go E85 instead of 93/meth, as my car is just a weekend driver.

e85 and flex fuel, but be prepared for much higher cost

I think the cheapest way would be the ecu swap but it takes some unique expertise.

for under 700 or so hp, meth injection is a no brainer

for big doggie builds, e85 is a durability hero and starts to really make sense.

I'm going e85, and if you need a julio alchy control kit with a new pump, let me know.

I'll cut you a good deal on it.

meth very simple set up go fill a 5 gallon bucket it last you a long time,e85 on the other hand need to check your area see how close you are to the nearest place, its not that easy to get back here in the east coast.

Is it just replacing pump and injectors ? Because I have to do that anyway with the supercharger upgrade

E85. I refuse to use meth again when a better alternative is available. I had a meth kit stick on and hydro lock a motor. E85 is my fuel of choice

building e85 fuel systems for big power in vettes is super expensive. Ive never had issues with methanol and been running it for awhile, making 900whp on 91 pump gas and methanol pretty reliably with d1sc

I vote methanol if <800whp just because it's so easy and cheap and I think anything can happen but reliable for most. just get an external pump setup from A&A or ECS and methanol kit and some 80lb siemens injectors and that is what I have, rock steady fuel pressure to 175mph at 1/2 mile at 900whp and very reliable.

alky control kit is the way to go imo.

I prefer Snow Performance brand for the kit with 49/51 boost juice, you can get away with adding a boost-a-pump instead of replacing the fuel pump wich is costly but If money is not a issue then go ahead with e85 setup for big power.

If you still on stock bottom keep in mind that you should not overpass the 550-600 rwhp and that either way you need a new clutch, flywheel, slave master, slave cylinder, bearing, etc.
