Default Prepping for supercharging

Given that I have a 99 FRC with 37k on it and the fact that its current value is not high, I plan to supercharge the LS1 as soon as a few things fall into line. I am currently planning to install TSP headers and a BBK SS1 intake manifold due to cost effectiveness and what appears to be very well defined descriptions of the components and installation instructions. I'm wondering if anyone on the forum has experience with either of these, and could share some wisdom. Thanks

If you're going to supercharge a stock Ls1 just pick your self up an Ls2manifold cheap money at any yard.you can put tons of boost in them.I'm currently using one in a build Ls 18 pounds of boost over 800 rwhp

Do not do the bbk. Save your money. People make 1000 with blowers on stock manifolds.

I agree with all above me. BBK intake is a waste of money and will absorb more heat than the OEM composite intake.

Take the money for a BBK and put it into a clutch and meth kit

And as everyone has said before, stock intakes are where it’s at for cost effectiveness. I’m making over 700 through my stock LS6 intake and TB

Need a clutch, dump the BBK idea.

You also could ditch the your alternator bracket for the newer stronger style. While your there upgrade to the ls2 style power steering pulley. Ls6 intake would be a better choice. look into a fuel system that is boost referenced. Good clutch
