For the curious minds…

826/682 on 15psi. That was on the gate, as we didn’t have time to work on the boost control stuff.
IAT was 140-150 during the pulls. Not bad, but a dyno pull isn’t as long as an 1/8th mile pass. Not to mention, I’m planning more boost than “just” 15lbs.
hitting a rental at MIR Monday.

Will report back…

Good luck at the rental! Even on gate that should be good for low 8's at that weight! Typically on pump E85 with no intercooler there's no need to pull any timing for IAT until over 200*, then if you want to be careful start pulling some timing at 220* or so and keep an eye on the plugs.

Chased weird electrical and sensor issues all day. Made 4 passes. None worked out. TPS was one of the sensors giving fits…. When the signal is bouncing around… nothing good happens.

odd we didn’t see any of it on the dyno…

Forgot if you are on Holley or not, but oddly that happened to two my friends cars. The Holley sensor fell apart internally and caused all sorts of 5v issues. Certainly one to have a spare of and swap it out at the first hint of a problem.

Good grief!

Do you know what sensor fell apart? The TPS? I have a cheap eBay sensor on a cheaply EBay TB. I just ordered an ACDleco replacement. I wouldn’t be surprised if that cheap POS was the culprit.

I am using the Dominator, and have a lot of Holley pressure transducers along with some Rife and Low Dollar Motorsports.

Yes the Holley TPS sensor was the one that failed.

Ya, kills a lot of people's days. Some of the Holley ECM's have had internal issues as well but I think thats mainly been on the HP and Termi boxes.

Been a while since the update.

I’ve come to realize I’ve bitten off more than I can chew when it comes to heads up racing. I don’t have the desire to do all the routine maintenance required to keep it going well on M1.

I removed the mechanical fuel pump and replaced with electrical.
I'm using VP X85 fuel.

My plan is to run 8.50/8.60 index races and try to just enjoy going to the track again…
