Instead of cutting it apart to install the flanges or pulling my headers off to v band both we decided to just use my existing kooks x pipe and cut the 2.5" section off and start the new exhaust from there.

I also had purchased a lg big 3" axleback but just didnt like the design/layout and the way it made the u bends like the stock exhaust. So I took my grinder and cut out the trunk tub and made a plate out of aluminum to cover it up and give me all the room I needed.

I chose the Borla xr1 mufflers because I have one on my fbody and liked the sound of it. The new piping is all 3" stainless with v band connections and the tips were something my friend had sitting on the shelf at his muffler shop.

I don't care for the sharp inside "radius" on the bends, but the welding is really good.

3" stuff is WAY over priced on the c5 I bought an obx c6 z06 3" system and trimming the rear package tray is ez and looks better

the straight shot routing is way better than the noodle loop routing which is heavier too.

I'm trying the OBX system on the tt c5 if I can raise a few sheckles to put the engine back in it!!!

On the C5 blower car, I have an LG 3" which sounds and flows awesome, but it's a bit ahem pricey for me

glad so much came with this ride, it's the way to do it, instant gratification and it's done!!!
