Default Cam Options - SC builds

I am out of touch with the market and current trends in cam development.

I have scooped up a 2003 Z with PRC 225 62cc heads, PAC dual springs, accompanying valvetrain, and what is either a TSP Magic Stick v3 (237/242 .603/.609 113) or Tick Polluter v2 (239/244 .635/.610 112).

Those seem like stout NA cams to me and very similar to what I used to run WAY BACK in the day in my 1994 Trans Am GT (420rwhp was gnarly back then for an NA LT1 with AFR heads)

But this car also has a V3Ti wearing A&A on it.

I am *probably* going to put in a smaller blower-specific cam, go for a smaller pulley, and swap my meth kit over. While I'm at it, since I don't know how violent the lobes are on the cam in the car, I fully intend to replace the springs again.

So for all this detail: What are the best cams to choose from for SC currently?

Most LS blower cams will be fine with your pistons, so it's mostly about your tuner skills.

Any specific needs for how the engine should behave? Bucking, surging, smell, etc.

I would say my main issue is that I have yet to determine my power goals for this car. It isn't fully tuned yet with the current cam, so I will dial it in and see what it makes out of curiosity, also determine boost with current setup. From there it is a question of power range vs volume. I like taking long drives, and from my experience with huge cams I end up wanting to be free of it within 90 minutes. My initial concept remains one of a milder cam than current, boost, methanol, and a conservative tune.

The car also remains on factory output shafts, Trans and torque tube. So going over 650rw is a tipping point at the moment also.

Have one spec'd out for your particular setup and goals once determined.
