These days a simple method of control is to use a $11 arduino microprocessor.

EGT for arduino is around $25 to achieve or less,
the code is free to write yourself
Digital output can work as PWM or a simple on/off switch

If you don't want to deal with coding your own...
Those of us using gasoline that do not have the know-how of cheap microprocessors would use a single stage of water injection (cost of pump + hobbs type of switch) to keep cost low (< $250~)

And finally the most expensive water injection systems I can think of are AEM, Devilsown, Akymist(?), Snow performance, etc... they all cost what a stock truck engine costs (500 chocolate bars~) but can typically do a PWM style of injection with user friendly settings.
https://www.aemelectronics.com/produ...soline-engines

They are marketed as methanol systems but the truth is that methanol is only useful for a specific scope of performance, it raises octane but does nothing to control combustion temp (EGT) so it isn't nearly as useful as 100% distilled water injection when it comes to keeping an engine from having a melt-down

Jesus man, will you PLEASE start your own thread? That way, you can ramble on as long as you want and you won’t have to stay on the topic of “Front End Airflow Mods”. It is super annoying to look for info, such as front end airflow mods, and have to weed through ramblings of theory and scientific information on completely irrelevant information. Please don’t reply with another one of your examples on how science will make me WANT you to keep replying.

He's been on my ignore list for a long time now. This is what he does in every thread he "participates" in.

Placed an order for the 9Lives Racing “Sturdy Boii” splitter mounts, splitter and Big ****. The splitter mounts are also supposed to double as ductwork to the radiator so I bought some foam core board that I plan to use to completely box the splitter/front bumper(TS) into the radiator, intercooler and oil cooler and see where that gets me. I’ll post pictures as I get to work on this little project. I plan to get the car running and tuned prior to installing so I have some coolant temp data before installing the splitter and ducting for comparison.

Setup is a forged LS2, AFR heads, ECS bracket/Ti V3, dewitts shorty rad, dewitts fans, ECS small intercooler, tigershark bumper, setrab oil cooler and no AC. My temps will be different since I have no AC but the results should still be relevant to everyone.

I did not buy the lip/splitter with the TS bumper, I’m not a huge fan of the look

Holy crap. This thread went from good to what the hell real fast. I’ve been having some cooling issues lately. Car has been getting up to 208 cruising in about 100* weather. No ac, stock radiator and spal fans & Two tracspec vents. Noticed my brackets on the radiator duct/shield are broken so hopefully fixing those takes care of it. Also planning on doing the cordes a2w with trunk tank. Will be interesting to see how the car does with their setup

Setrab series 6, 13 row core that I built a mount and duct for. I’ve since welded and sealed the entire duct to the bumper and cooler. I’ also using the improved racing 200* thermostat on the oil pan so it won’t overcool the oil. It’s not the largest core but I’m interested to see if it will help keep oil temps down and therefore reduce the load on the coolant.

I used some foam core craft board to make templates then traced it all onto the aluminum sheet. Cut, bend, rivet and weld and it fits great.

Disregard the exhaust strap, I used that to hold things in place temporarily.

you inspire me my man. I have my tranny cooler partially overlapping the intecooler (new inter heater feature, no bueno), and I have a nice oil cooler lying around.

I want to move the tranny cooler and oil cooler into the corners up front and duct it in. I'm an old model airplane guy so I use the german thin ply. Easy to cut and fiberglass into the duct shape needed.

You've got made skills with the tin, and I might have to give that a try as it looks very slick. Hoping to get the temps down on bigger boost which is a challenge the E85 I know will help

I still have my foam core templates somewhere if you want to use them as a starting point.
