So I decided to go with the Holley Terminator X Max (550-926) and I was curious if anyone that has experience with installing this kit could throw me some tips before I start the installation ? I’ve already figured out I need an alternator harness, 2 pressure sensors and a couple adapters & fittings. Also, with our rear mounted transmission, I already foresee the need for a longer transmission wiring harness. Any help or suggestions would be great. Thx.
I got the car running last week. I just received the remote base tune from my tuner and the car runs excellent but hasn’t left the garage. I’m gonna drive the car in a couple days and get some learn data to get the tune a little better. The biggest obstacle was what to do with the factory computer. I ended up depinning most of it and really only utilizing the starter circuit so I can start the car with the factory ignition system.
I ended up extending the transmission wiring harness 5 feet myself. I’ve read that you can order the transmission harness longer from Holley but the wait time will be tremendous judging by the wait time for an unmodified system
I haven't been visiting this forum as often, but it's good to see your thread regarding the Holley. I'm going down the same path. Would you be interested in discussing your install?
I know this thread is alittle old,But I just finished up the Holley terminator x max in my C5,All gauges working,Got the car to idle and rev a bit,Let the tuning begin LOL

FourG63 97GST Is that your car? Did you do the install? I understand the concept but would like to see an actual wiring diagram to see what is needed.
I feel it's a blind project for most, the plan of attack is typically to try and see what does and doesn't work, then figure of why if it isn't, In the end all I have is a thick folder of schematics and random notes. I believe this is why there's no DIY diagram available online (surely wasn't when I started). I also noticed others who did it, all did it slightly different too, as the install becomes simpler depending on what you're willing to give up. so there's really no copy and paste recipe.
I say if you understand the concept, and know what computer needs what signals. go for it. I personally don't have the time or incentive and dig through the notes and put a diagram together. it was few years ago.
