Crankcase venting
#2Connect the metal breather tube from the underside of the throttle body to the metal crankcase vent on the passenger’s side valve cover using the supplied 3 ⁄8” breather hose and 3 ⁄8” plastic tee. Connect the 3 ⁄8” breather hose to the open end of the tee and route the hose to the front of the vehicle near the supercharger inlet. Insert the supplied 3 ⁄8” plastic 90ş elbow into the end of the 3 ⁄8” hose.
Has anyone done this or go about another way of venting the crank case? seems like a simple air breather with a built in check valve would do the trick. Please advise when you can.

I'm not convinced yet of all the "hype" doing this as I've run old school engines with just vented valve covers for years and other than stinkn up the joint, never noticed any real issues with oil in the intake. But these were all NA engines and the boosted engines for sure cause more piston ring blow by, and contamination.
The catch cans do a good job of pulling any moisture and goo out of the oil, so that's a good think.
I like the MM link as it explains things well, thanks for posting that!! Keep in mind though in many states any "filters" venting crankcase vapor are a no no. For me I just throw a rubber cap in place of the pcv filter going through emissions and they leave will pass it.
