ATI Dipstick
Has anyone else had a heckuva time reading the oil level on the ATI dipstick?? For me anyway, it's almost as tough to get an accurate reading as the C5 engine oil dipstick.

Re: ATI Dipstick (vetterdstr)
I agree with the importance of clean oil. What gets me is that according to ATI, "Overfilling the supercharger is probably the single largest concern, as it can not only result in oil seepage, but can also damage your ProCharger¹s precision bearings and seals."
If you cannot get an accurate dip-stick reading, how are you supposed to know if you are over-filling it??
I checked mine and I really could not tell if it was "empty" or "full". I added some oil to see if would register on the dip-stick. Still hard to tell. I ended up adding more and eventually added a whole bottle. To me the dip-stick reads the same...at least there is no oil on the metal stem.
Is it possible I was "empty" on oil??? I do regular inspections and I have not seen any oil and I sealed the dip-stick screw with teflon tape.
Any thoughts??
  When you said "dipstick" I thought you were talking about the ATI Dipstick who engineered some of these parts and design of the Procharger setup. Yeah reading the dipstick is another challenge with the kit...WTF...some of these guys sat in their offices a little too much when they were designing our kit instead of on the car. :banghead: :banghead:  :leaving:
What helps me is to carefully lay the dipstick on a piece of kleenex which shows the level when the dipstick is lifted off the kleenex. It's much easier to do it than say it :p:
