the thing with the Whipple is mainly the accessory fitment, if i remember right. you have to piece together your own serpentine drive & intercooler setup... in addition to fitting it in the engine bay without hitting the cowl. TPE's Kenne Bell hood should fit (or whatever it's being sold as now. ask Mr Black - he bought one in the last few years.)

mine was the first (and only that i'm aware of) KillerChiller on a C5. FI Interchillers only has a 'universal' kit that they'd sell you to adapt for C5 use. not sure of any other companies. but in the process of installing mine (and having to make unexpected modifications because Kincaid had never done a Corvette kit before), Bret found ways to improve the setup & has since designed a better variant.

Yes, you have to piece together the coolant & fuel system. Not 100% sure on the serpentine system though. I’ll look into the hoods.

Are you able to share the setup of the chiller on your C5 with those improvements?

if you dig around, he has a build thread on here for what all it took to get the whipple on his car. i just ain't read through it in more than a dozen years to remember all the details.

as for my KC, i didn't benefit from Bret's system improvements - just the "make it work"-isms. i rememebr he had to build a new chiller manifold mounting bracket & custom-fab the freon line to the compressor & orifice tube. after that, he mentioned designing a larger freon:coolant manifold for his system that gives more heat transferrence capability. you'd have to ask him for details, though.

Are you able to share your setup? Stuck on if the chiller will fit behind the front bumper if I were to hang it under the bumper foam support that behind the bumper.

no real time to get access for pictures, but my chiller manifold is mounted in the nose directly in front of the front-passenger tire (bolted to the hard wall of the fender well). the coolant pump then moved down under/behind the corner light housing. the add'l plumbing also got in the way of the brake cooling duct on that side, so it's unfortunately gone now. that'd be something thing to consider as you're scouting locations - hopefully there's another serviceable spot that allows you to keep the duct.
