Good morning,

While on an ebay spree, i made an offer and won a 2002 era procharger ho supercharger kit with a d1sc for cheap. Ive got a ls1 with decked 243 heads, a tsp 220r cam, and longtubes with a dewitts putting out 405 at the wheel with an a4. I have a pinned powerbond oem style harmoic balancer. I do not intend to go beyond 6 psi ever. A few questions from a newby...
1. it comes with a 3.85 pulley, but i want to keep boost at 5-6 psi, will a 5" pulley do that?
2. For fueling, i want to keep it simple. Will a racetronix in tank pump do the job, or do i also need a boostapump? Or just the boost a pump?
3. What size injectors do i need?
4. Beyond getting an rpm trans, any easy mods to help baby my trans if i dont beat on it too much?

Thanks,
Richard

I called procharger and they gave me a copy of the origional sc manual, and it looks like the required fueling upgrade for the kit was 36 lb/hr injectors. Will the factory fuel pump be sufficient for this?

Anything over 475 i would change or get a boostapump. My stock pump loos psi around 500ish around 5k rpm But i was running 12 psi so the power comes on was sooner then yours. If your content with 550hp just go 80ij and you still have a wiggle room.

So, sounds like a boost a pump and injectors would work if i want to stay around 550ish hp or less. That works for me, since i just want to run low boost.

I chatted with the guy i bought the supercharger kit from. The previous car this kit was on was an 03 z06 with a cam. That car made 625 at the wheel and had a boost a pump, stock fuel pump, and 60 lb injectors at 10psi of boost. Since im only looking for 6psi of boost, ill copy his fueling system setup.

At minimum run 60# injectors with a BAP on stock pump. I think you will need a larger pulley to get the boost down to 6psi, Procharger might been able to recommend a size.
Get a good tune on the engine and trans after the install is done. I like to add a external trans cooler for the auto cars to help keep temps below 200*

Thanks Josh, appreciate the advice. When i get my sc shipped in, i'll be reaching out for to see if a&a sells an airbridge that might work for my setup.
