Default My Nitrous Project

I just got my NX wet kit, with all the toys (remote bottle opener, purge, heater, etc.) and just started to install it on my 99. Today, I was only able to work on it for about 3 hours and accomplished quite a lot for 3 hours. For those that are interested in what I've done. Keep on reading. I plan on continuing to write what I do, so those that are having problems, will have a heads up.
I've installed the fuel and nitrous solenoids, by bolting my nitrous solenoid next to the washer fluid tank, and bolting the fuel solenoid to the front, right intake manifold bolt. I removed the temp sensor located right infront of throttle body and moved it to right after the MAF by drilling the same size hole as where it was originally and inserting the rubber grommet . This will hopefully prevent inaccurate intake temp readings.
I haven't removed the shradder valve from the fuel rail yet, as I'll probably do that almost last (lacking the correct tool). Next I moved onto mounting the 10 lb bottle in the rear of the car. I'm putting it in the big compartment, where it does fit. I designed a trapezoidal beam out of 1/8 inch thick, 1 inch wide Al bar stock that will be bolted to the bottom of the compartment. I am weary if the 16 feet Nitrous line will reach from the left side to the right side of the engine, through the fire wall, and all the way into the rear compartment. This is where I left off, and much has yet to be done. More info to come, and I also plan on taking pictures from now on and posting them for all to see.

Well this is great. I'm also installing a NX Nitrous in a week or so. I ordered a plate that goes between the intake and trottle body. The nitrous kit was on a 99 vette. I'm going to be putting it on a 2000. :hurray:

Don't forget to post pictures of where to connect the MSD box to the white tach wire if you are using one , that seems to be a frequently asked question on this Forum . :steering: :leaving:

Please take as much pictures as you can. I would love to have the full instructions with pics. Nitrous is such a great mod for the money. I'm just so scare of having problems with install. If someone finally puts together the complete process. I may join the crowd :D

Okay, I know it's been a while since I said that I'd get back with everyone. The project is going as scheduled, it's just that I have limited time to work on it - college, flying, etc. This weekend I should be done with it. I'll take numerous pictures and start a new post with detailed step-by-step instructions (and a wiring schmatic that I'm creating right now). Anyways, expect something from me later this weekend or early next week.

So this instruction thing that I'm writing is turning into a book now. I'm just about done with it, but trying to pull 21 credit hours at the same time. I'll have many pics and very detailed instructions for all to see. It's currently at about 3000 words (5 pages single spaced no pics so far). Give me a few more days. Sorry it's taking this long. Schools a killer!
