In the long run I would like to add some sort of boost. I dont fill like pushing the stock motor to its limits so I would like to build the bottom end before anything. Who should I go with? Please let me know what you guys think. :flag
I have forged short blocks for around $3000 complete. Diamond pistons and rings, ARP bolts , etc. A little more for Eagle 6.125 rods. Personally, I think the stock rods and crank are fine with the forged pistons and good bolts. I have Callies cranks available at a good price, also.
Re: ?'s about forged bottoms. (Andy@AandACorvette)
Thanks for the info Andy. I was thinking about Lunati parts.(3.622 pro crank, 2618 pistons 8.5:1, and pro billet rods.) A local tuner is using them on a big horsepower kit. I found them through Holley. What do you think about Lunati.
Lunati is good stuff also. I wouldn't go down that low on compression, though. You'll have no power off boost. The car will be real soggy at the bottom. We're making 650 RWHP at just under 10:1 and still retaining driveability.

Thanks again for the help. I'm still trying to learn as much as possible before I do anything. Those are the numbers I will be looking for some time in the future (650+ rwhp). Well back to saving! :seeya Thanks, Kyle
