I just finished up my Racetronics installation on my 02 coupe. I have not driven the car yet but have run it at idle. With the stock pump I was typically seeing 58-59 psi fuel pressure at idle. Now that the Racetronics pump is installed I am seeing 61-62 psi at idle. Is this normal for these pumps? I would have thought that the fuel pressure regulator would have limited it to around 58 psi.
For those of you who may be contemplating installing a Racetronics pump it is a fairly easy installation.
Thanks for verifying that what I am seeing is normal.
As soon as I get the TR6s in I'll go do some "testing". I'm sure that my fuel pressure won't be dropping off any more with the Racetronics in the tank.
Mine is also about 62-64 with the Racetronix setup. There is one strange thing though. My idle pressure will drop down to about 60-58 when the fuel gets hot (after about 1hr of driving). If I fill it up with fresh (cold) gas, it shoots back up. I think this is somehow related to the way hot vs cold fuel flows through the tiny regulator lines, but I’m not sure.

Re: Racetronics Fuel Pressure? (VortechC5)
Where did you purchase your RACETRONIX pump from , I'm looking to purcase one ! :lurk: THANKS !
I did some "testing" last night and my fuel pressure now stays 60 or above even under boost. The pump seems to be as quiet as stock too. This is a great upgrade if you are boosted.
