Question About Nitrous Setup
I have a 97 C5 and am interested in 100 shot wet system for my car. I don't understand how you keep it from spraying in 1st and 2nd. It seems to me that it doesn't realy need to be activated till 3rd gear. I'm a newbie to Nitrous---thanks in advance for you comments! :)

Really I dont know of a way unless you leave the system off until you hit third. But the best way is to get it to when it only comes on after a certain rpm and under WOT. I dont see why you wouldnt want to spray in 1st and 2nd. As long as you dont spray at a low rpm, it will ok to do.

I use a WOT switch and a arming switch. If I don't want to hit until 2nd 0r 3rd I just don't arm the system. When I arm it, I am at wot already so it kicks in right away.
At the track you will want to hit it in first.
If your car is a 6spd. You better order a new clutch. Mine dropped first time at the track with a drag radial. :cheers:

Looks like of you have the arming switch, WOT switch, and the RPM window switch---your covered to do whatever you want to do w/o damaging your car.

Activating Nitrous sooner pending traction from the tires you are using is your ticket to better ET'S ! first gear nitrous activation can be achieved easily with ET STREETS or NITTO drags (555R) and a proper burnout ! :steering:

I have a window switch with a 3k to 5.9k activation and it has a 1st gear lockout that wont let you spray untill you hit second gear. Street tires can handle a 100hp shot in second gear. I'll post up a pic latter today.

The MSD window switch runs between $89.00 to $99.00 depending where you buy it. You also have to buy the chip or (pills) which are $24.00 per set for the 3000 (pills) and another $24.00 for the either 5000 (pills) or 6000 (pills) set. Total is aound $150 for the whole set up. :yesnod:

Company name is BMN Racing Technologies. $145 for the window switch with the lockout, $95 for just the window switch alone. I can sell NX also. I'll have to shoot ya an email for any more info you want. I wrote the forum 3 times since March 13 about advertising but still havn't got a response from them. Hopefully a moderator will see this and nudge one of the adverising/sales reps with his elbow and wake them up so they can send me the supporting vendor info and prices.
