Re: Is Nitrous considered 'Forced Induction'? (C5-VERT)
To illustrate that nitrous, although not the same as a blower or turbo, can be likened to forced induction without the pressurized manifold, primarily because of the similar results, look at the categories of this forum.
You have "C5 Forced Induction/Nitrous". You don't have a category for "C5 Forced Induction" and then another category for "C5 Naturally Aspirated/Nitrous".
Re: Is Nitrous considered 'Forced Induction'? (SilverStateZ06)
The fact that they make it a point to say Forced Induction AND Nitrous proves my point that N20 is not forced induction. If it were then they would just say forced induction and all of the corvette community would understand that FI includes N20, but it doesnt so they didn't.
Thanks for proving my point that N20 is not considered FI.

Why do you suppose that is?
Because the topic count is not high enough to break them into their own categories. We have enough categories as it is...
Now back to the regularly scheduled argument...
Re: Is Nitrous considered 'Forced Induction'? (C5-VERT)
One thing is certain, nitrous is not in the same category with naturally aspirated, but it is in the same category with forced induction - AT LEAST ON THIS BOARD.
Re: Is Nitrous considered 'Forced Induction'? (SilverStateZ06)
If you are talking about the aspiration of the air/nitrous oxide only then I would think the fogger is NA but nitrous injector plates are FI. If you are talking about the combustion cocktail air + gas as being naturally aspirated then no fuel injected car is naturally aspirated, but partially aspirated since only the air is NA and the fuel is FI. If youy are talking about oxygen then all Nitrous systems are FI since you are adding more oxygen element than is natural in the air. Anyway.. most people selling FI system list Nitrous system in the heading.
