Like Metallic said, it can act as an octane boost, although there is some debate over the actual octane rating of propane. One of the big advantages of propane is that it is a gas just like nitrous so you will not have fuel issues, such as uneven fuel distribution and fuel puddling that might arise from using gasoline in a single fogger type system. And if your not spraying a huge shot, you do not need to upgrade the fuel system as propane works just like nitrous as far as using bottle pressure to deliver and regulate fuel enrichment. Hopefully, some more well informed people will chime in as I too am interested in this type of nitrous system.
Propane acts like an octane booster and provides the extra fuel needed for the extra oxygen from the nitrous.
True, also it must be correctly tunes as to not make the car run to excessively rich. (gained from alot of research).
However having nitrous oxide and a propane tank near eachother just sounds like a bad idea in a wreck.
Well, with the BTR kit your using a 5lb propane bottle with 10-15lb nitrous bottle, and due to the properties of propane, any leak will/should be instantly detected. However in a wreck some care or concern should be taken to make some sort of bottle cage for the car(imo).
