MSD window switch not working

MSD window switch not working
I cut both wires for 4cyl operation and tapped the tach wire near the driver's side steering column. This is the same wire I tapped for the raptor shift light which does work (also in 4 cyl operation). I have 3100-6400 as the operation range. Any ideas? I have heard it doesnt always work for c5's....got it new from TByrne.
MSD provides a ground if i read it correctly.
