Is it possible that I have damaged my purge system by holding down the purge for too long?
OK guys I only had very little juice in my bottle and I though I could just purge it all out....
I played with the purge for a while and then I just held the button for 15-20 seconds to just get it all out...
While at the very end of the bottle I stop briefly and try to get back on the purge button...This time it will not purge and I can't hear the ticking sound it used to make when I clear the lines with the bottle closed.. The bottle seems to be totally empty though.........
If the bottle is empty, I would check the purge solenoid.
1. close the bottle.
2. hook up a jumper wire to the + and - to see if the solenoid clicks. If the solenoid clicks then the purge is working. If no click, then your solenoid is bad.
If you hold down the purge button too long it can overheat the coil in the solenoid and burn it out. Once you fix it....get used to holding it for a few seconds, then release, repeat...seems to work for me without any issues. Good luck and have fun.
