I dunno - i look at the car astetically and it does not look like a 110k car to me.
That is why i am glad i only have roughly 40k total in mine and i can look at it and see it being that (if that makes sense?)
and after 5 days....NO BIDS!!! there's no way a 725 flywheel hp (580rwhp) A4 vert will go 225 mph...that's just [Modified by HIGHRPM, 12:30 PM 4/28/2004]
The only way to duplicate this setup and get under $110k would be to take a stock C5 and do all the work yourself. That would be a crazy amount of labor, and even then, all the performance parts put you close to $100k total. Why go through all that when this is turnkey?
$50k for the 427TT alone

BTW, The total cost of my HP mod, incl the price of the car itself is $75K. I don't think that too bad when the result is 604 rwhp on pump gas. But you would have to drive one to really know what I'm talking about.

Which LPE package will give you 604 RWHP for $25k?
If there is such a package, I'll jump on it right now.Looking at LPE's website, the Stage I kit would give you 500 RWHP for $25k.
Either you paid $25k for the car and $50k for the LPE 427 TT package or you bought the car new and LPE gave you a %50 discount on the package.

1st, lets do the math right. I paid $45K for my '99 C5 Vert. I paid $19,999 for a stage 1 (when it was at the $19,999 price). That comes to $65K. I then upgraded to a stage II+ a yr later when someone sold me his rebuilt LPE Forged motor because he wanted a 427TT. The total price for motor and stage II+ upgrade was $10K and that included a boost controller, a 604 rwhp 11PSI Setting on pump gas andd 666.6 rwhp at 13 PSI with Race gas.
The used motor had 4200 miles on it and was checked it thorougly before the install. It actually had less miles than my previous motor
Does it have a warranty? Other than the 30 day warranty taht was given to me, No. Am I worried? No, because its LPE.
Anyway, thats how I came to $75K.You might try to find someone who might be willing to offer you something similar. If not, LPE is having a $1500 price reduction for their stage II. This of course includes a brand new rebuilt LPE Forged motor in case you may be interested.
