SC install progress update
So today I got the crank pinned, suspension and steering rack reinstalled, heat exchanger mounted and plummed with pump, wiring and hoses.
I was set to install the supercharger and work on the fuel pump tomarrow when a setback came into play. As I was torqueing the new valley cover down the rear bolt hole cracked through. My heart sunk when I heard the sound and felt the torque wrench ease up. Here is a picture below:

The metal is extremely thin around those edges on both of the rear holes. I will call Magnuson tomarrow.
So it looks like the car won't be complete until at least Wednesday. I have a new fuel filter and plugs coming in Tuesday anyhow to no real big delay.
I do see the instructions call for 2 throttlebody gaskets to be purchased. Does'nt the C5 use a rubber gasket built into the intake manifold? What gaskets am I supposed to use?
Thanks,

The gaskets your supposed to use for the throttle body should be included in the kit atleast mine were, you need them because the power steering reservoir is relocated and the bracket gets bolted in between the throttle body and the blower

Since you've got the crank pinned you should be past the worst of it...minor setbacks like this one aside. Talked to Tony up at Magnuson today. I'm not the only one who has cracked one of these recently. Turns out its not a casting problem or a fault the problem lies with the torque specs. He recommends 11ft lbs instead of the 18 the manual mentions. He was nice enough to send another one out today and send a prepaid mailer for the broken one to send back. I have to say......everyone at Magnuson has been fantastic to deal with. Excellent customer service!
On a side note I started buttoning up misc little things around the car until my new valley cover arrives. I found this 20inch long wire coupler that the instructions seem to indicate is for the 02+ 5 wire MAF. However after closer inspection I saw the loom of wire had 6 wires in it. Is this the correct extension harness? It does'nt look like its the same type of connector either.
