I'm making about 750 rwhp on pump gas and have the Mcloud dual disc clutch but the material on the clutch is not their regular organic material it is sintered iron and I have no clutch issues. As far as mafless tuning I'm building an LS1 TT for a 66 Nova. We are going run haltech engine managemant, it's supposed to be superior to the F.A.S.T. and similar Motec. I believe they are based in Australia. The guy building the motor will fab the manifolds, intercooler, wiring and engine management.
750 at the wheels on pump gas, That's impressive. I hope to have the same success as you. May I ask what kind of 1/4 miles times are being acheived. Don't mean to be impolite. Thank you.
I don't know how to get my sig to appear with this new format but it's got some details about my car. LPE just went through the whole car for the 2004 Car and Driver Supertuner Shootout.
The test is quarter mile, road race, accel to 150mph and brake to 0. We took second to the Hennesy Viper only losing by 1 second overall time. I think he was running race gas(cough, cough) test was to be done on pump gas, we actually ran 92 octane.
Anyway to answer your question my car ran a 11.53 @137 mph. Remember this was with a full tank of gas, autocross suspension, 40 psi on street tires starting out on concrete and crossing over to asphault. My car is a ZO6 but they ran the higher geared LS1 trans and a 3.15 gear.
We actually won the fastest 100 to 150mph hour time which I think was 6.79 seconds.
The car weighed 3398 lbs. with a full tank of gas no driver. Let me know if you need any other info. Also the battery was relocated in the trunk.

Congratulations on the supertuner results. I have to say that I'm impressed by the cars performance, but I'm sure the driver had something to do with it Anyway, I accessed your biography and have to say that you've done quite a bit to it and have great results to show for it: 11.53 @ 137 on street tires. Take great joy in knowing that alot of other drivers have a difficult time trying to achieve
those kind of times on slicks. 100 to 150 in 6.79 seconds, wow! The car (Z06) is definitely quick. Thank you for answering my question. I'm sure I'll have more along the way. Feel free to stay in touch.
