First time @ track!

I know where you can get a set...they only have about 10 passes on them
, but they do have some "street" miles.
Gee, I wonder where Doug got that Z06 cam for your car?

I still say leave it in 3rd., put it in 1st. and you'll run the risk of tapping the rev limiter (been there, done that) and you will surely slowdown if that happens. Keep in mind what I said, use finesse when dealing with runcraps..... You should not have to worry about the tranny dropping back to first if you nail it, remember at this point you should be going too fast for the tranny to go back to first.
As for my track times, well I never *really* got a full pass in. Keep in mind, I was bracket racing and I had let off just about everytime!! Doug, Chris, & Mark all felt the car had a high 10 in it that hot/sticky day..... OH WHY DIDN'T I KEEP MY FOOT IN IT??!!!!
Oh well, there's always next season!!
Oh yea, as for my tranny.... so far so good! I rarely see boost on the street (unless I "need" to), so the tranny is holding up well. Rest assured, if/when the tranny goes..... the Forum will know about it.
As for the shifting problem, I experienced the downshift problem precisely. I would strongly recommend the transgo shift kit and manually shifting. . .it's a ton more fun and it's very cool when spectators come up talking about how great you were shifting.
With the shift kit installed, you will actually bark the tires from 1-2 and 3-4. . .just don't let them know it's an A4. Heck, I even have the manual shift ball. . .it's great!!!
