Default Tuning a D1!

I was trying to dyno tune last week and had too much boost.
I was marking 15# at the highest 4800-4900 RPM's.
I wasn't using a filter though to tune since this was the way high performance turbos were done.

Can not having a filter onthe intake of the SC give me too much boost?

I reinstalled the intake and filter and took the car out for a scan/log run before my dyno tune tommorow night and got max 10-10.5# of boost.

I'm trying to get down to 8#/9#.......

Does that sound right?

This is on a '03 C5 M6 w/all bolt ons, HF cats and cold air intake!

Thanks again!
Tony

10 # of boost is *really* pushing it for a stock motor. What size pulley are you using?

I'm getting 11psi at 6k and 13 psi at 7k with a 4.10 pulley. sounds like you need to pulley it down a little bit.

No Air Filter will raise the boost some.

I understand! I just didn't think it would flow that great.
"I am running twin intercoolers, not SI!!!"

I now have it at 11# w/ the 3.85!

Should I do the 4.10 or 4.25 pulley!!!!

I have a 4.5 ( if I remember correctly ) on my ECS D1SC and get between 7 and 9 pounds of boost depending on my RPM.
