Default Ran into some problems.....

Today on my I/C Mag install. I'm hoping some of you guys might have some technical input for me......

In hooking up the Fuel Pump Booster and Coolant pump for the I/C, the instructions from Mag specify I tap into the white fuse block (Closest to the passenger side manifold if you're looking at it upside down). There should be (2) gray wires-One large, one small. Tap into the small one.....Well I did and we have no power signal. No coolant pump, and I don't think the FPB is coming on either.....where did you all hook up your signal source for the coolant pump and FPB? We checked the pump and it works fine when power is run to it.

Could it be the relay was wired wrong? Could it be that we need to source another wire from the fuseblock? What wire is the fuel pump wire on the fuseblock? We hooked it all up to the T according to the instructions.

I really appreciate any helpful info.

Make sure all the wires are still connected to the relayand/or grey wire. It sounds kind of juvenile, but after I tapped into that grey wire and was putting the fuseblock back, the crimp slipped off and the pump wouldn't run. I have since put a different crimp connector there. It was probably due to my poor crimp than poor materials.

Just don't leave the BIG RED intake plug in when you bolt up the throttle body like I did, and pull your hair out for two days trying to figure out why the damn thing won't start. I had fuel, I had spark, but I never thought to check for AIR. But that's another story for another day.

Good luck, Hawaiian.

Thanks SDFRC. We actually soldered all the wiring when we made the splices. I checked and double checked all fittings, and wiring connections and we're all good......just that there is no power coming from the skinny gray wire in the last fuse block as per the instructions. I was thinking maybe we need to tap another source....or the relay or relay connections are no good.

I posted a reply on the Z06 site.

It's the grey wire in fuseblock C2 pin # A12.

This is the fuel pump relay circuit.

I did the install about 3 weeks ago and have had no problems whatsoever. The car is making about 6.5 lbs. and seems to run pretty strong right out of the box with the tune from Magnuson. I have since installed an FJO Racing wideband controller and digital gauge and will dyno / tuning the car next week.

Let me know if I can assist you

ZDriver.

Thanks bro. I am getting in my Wideband Commander today I think.....

I really appreciate the help with the wiring. I'll give it a shot and post up results.

Aloha, Dave
