the 2 and 4 bolt thing was back in the LT1 days. the LS1 all have 6 bolt mains. currently i run 200 wet on the 00 formula and 175 wet on the 99 formula. the only mods at the time on the 00 formula was just the SLP airlid and it went 11.97 @ 118. the 99 formula has air intake, filter MAF ends, 1.89 VHP rockers and dual springs, bassani headers and borla exhaust. it has went a best so far of 11.84 @ 121. both with the stock fuel systems.
Dang thats pretty darn good! Wish I could run that right about now! I'm just not going to take my chances of something messing my car up. I think I'll stick with a 125-100 shot... but maybe I will get confident with something bigger if I do some internal and rear work!
Just FYI NX was not started by anyone from NOS. I live in Wichita Falls where NX is. I know the owner, and just about everyone else that works there. They are now THE largest Nitrous company bar none. They have an excellent product! FWIW a wet kit will be safer then a dry kit, and good luck spraying a 300 shot through the mass air!! LOL

The discussion is mainly about a 100 shot, for a beginner. A wet kit is good because you can run a small shot, like a 100 or less, and easily jump to a 125 shot or 150 shot for the track. Who would want to bother with fuel system upgrades? Thats a needless waste of time and money when you could easily go with a wet kit and not worry about other upgrades. Theres tons of people running wet 100 shots and wet 150 shots all day and all night with success. So your advice for a beginner in nitrous is use a dry shot and start small, but when you decide you want a bigger shot, start doing fuel system upgrades? If thats what your saying, I disagree 100%.
What I am saying is, IMO, dry is safer, and 100dry on stock set-up ok. But if you want bigger and don't have the experiance/knowledge to up size dry, then wet is better for you. Yes, a lot of people are running wet kits with no problems; however, more than just a few have blown their motors with wet kits. You would be hard pressed to find someone who blew their motor running a 5177 dry at any size if set-up correctly. That can not be said of wet kits because to many things can go wrong outside of operator/installer error. When's the last time you heard of a MAF failing compared to a fuel solenoid, outcome is the same if a maf were to fail but they don't. One more point, there is no way to adjust fuel ratio with wet compared to maf/computer. This becomes a problem when bottle is cold and press down and when bottle is becoming empty or is empty, think about the problems this can cause. Dry those problems don't exist.
A properly run wet nitrous system should be heated with a bottle heater, and after about 2-3 sprays you might want to take it easy and get a freakin refill, OR keep an extra bottle in the back so you won't have to stop racing. Nothing is maintenance free...

Meaning opinion not fact... I hear what you are saying, I appreciate the info that everyone has given. Thanks.
"dry at any size if set-up correctly."
if NX is setup correctly, it shouldn't blow either.
