I've got a Blitz BOV on my stock ATI kit. Whenever under the slightest deacceleration, even at low speeds, the BOV is releasing pressure....and it isn't like an instant release sound "pfffff" it's more like a plastic bag is stuck under my car and it makes a constant hissing noise. Then if I touch the gas to get back under acceleration, it stops immediately.
For instance today while on cruise control at 70mph, it would "hiss" while going down small overpasses and then be completely silent climbing them???
This isn't normal, is it? The car will still boost up fine....and it's acted this way since I bought the kit, but has become much more evident since switching from the 2.73 to the 3.42.
As I understand it. On decelleration the hissing sound is coming from the engine sucking some air in thru the BOV. I would guess this will be your new normal sound.
Just spoke with Andy who advised the same thing. Guess I just keep thinking that I should hear one noise vs. a constant noise- but this depends on type of BOV, size of the BOV, etc.
