Tonight I changed the front turn signal bulb. To do so I had to turn my lights on to get access to the bulb. While changing the turn signal bulb I broke it. It smoked as well. Then I went to start my car and the lights come on but will not go down. The interior dash lights do not come on with the lights, and the parking lights do not work.
All fuses are ok. Could this be the Automatic Lamp Control for the Parking Lights or headlamps?
check both fuse boxes - something had to blow if you saw amoke. For future reference it is a good idea to disconnect the headlights when working around them - the connector is just behind the headlight assembly - easy to find and disconnect
First of all thank you both for taking the time to reply. Secondly, thank you for being right! I swore I check the fuses, but I missed the hairline break in the criticle parking lights fuse...
Unfortunately, I replaced the Auto Lamp Relay first---$18. Then when that didn't fix the problem I was going to try another relay then take it to the dealership for service. Before doing so I pulled the fuse to make sure it was intack...well it was blown. Replaced it and I'm up and running again! Thanks!!
