Anyone put this system in his or her car? I was looking at getting the Eclipse AVN 2454 but I was told that the volume controls were on the right side of the radio like it was meant for a right drive car and I want this to look as factory as possible so I am leaning toward the Kenwood system, I would like to know if anyone has this system in their car and if so how are they liking or disliking the unit?
thats nice
do you know if you can use a larger touch screen with the same system?
i have thought about moving the hvac controller to the ash tray area and installing a larger touch screen in the area of the factory radio and original climate control location. then maybe install the control component of the system in the glove box so that it could be closed and hidden.
good luck, i think that if you go with this system, it will look a lot like the nav system in the c6.

I went with the Kenwood DDX7015 and the Kenwood KNA-DV4100 (which are the same units that make up the P-NAV7015). I was originally going to go with the AVIC-N1 but was talked out of it by my installer whom i trust. He told me that while the AVIC-N1 is a very good unit, he always installs the Kenwood in anyones car that can afford it. Car is still in the shop right now and can't wait to see how it turns out.

I wish someone would come up with a decent way to make the trim look better with this type of stereo install. They either look all bondo'd up or all cut up.
Sorry for the delay in response. Unfortunately my car is STILL in the shop (little over 3mos now and the suspense is KILLING me) so I don't have any pics yet. As soon as I get some I will definitely be posting them though.
I took mine to get it installed and didn't like the 1/2 gap that was going to be on each side of the radio (even with the filler pieces that were going to be added) so I decided to back out of the install at this time.
I was told I could have a dash molded to make it look more factory but I want to check on the price of this and how good a job the molder could do.
Anyone know of a radio that will fill the hole the factory radio leaves? I don't mind cutting to make the new radio fit?, just don't want the gap on the sides.
I'm not sure there is a stereo that will fill in the gap properly in a touch screen type stereo. If only someone custom made some for this system to look OEM, I'd buy one for sure!
