Fixing Flats??
Question....how do you prepare for the event of a flat?
Tech Tips has a good "repair kit list".

Heavy duty set of pliers
Channel Locks
Tyvek paper suit (Murhpys' law says it will be wet and muddy where you have a flat)
Industrial leather gloves
Important thing to remember, as long as the tires are in good condition, air pressure is set ok, chances of a blow out are slim. The majority of blow outs are caused by people driving on tires that should have been thrown out thousands of miles prior to the blow out, and people who do not keep their tires inflated to recommended pressures.
Most cases will be a nail, and if you keep an eye on your DIC, you will be notified as the air pressure decreases in a tire. If this should happen, pull of and go to a tire store immediately, and if required, add some air. If anything, this might give you enough time to pull off to a parking lot. I have plugged tires on cars before and it is not fun, but if necessary, it can be done.
I have put almost twenty thousand miles on my GS-D3 goodyears, and never had a problem, and they appear to be not wearing.

with all of the above. I had runflats and got a flat that nobody wanted to repair. Due to it being a runflat. They have to be certified and have the right equipment to work on runflats. So I ended up plugging that tire myself and putting another 20k on it before I changed the tires to GY D3's. So I already had all the equipment and the new tires are so much better than the runflats. Performance and noise has been greatly reduced. No more bump steer. I'll never go back to runflats. Till they make them better or there's no other choice. I expect that in the future that's all you'll be able to get. Hope that helps.
