How hard was it to install? BTW- Looks like your engine compartment could use a bit of a dust-off. hehe
Congrats! Any noticible pref. difference?
It was pretty easy to install. The hardest part was getting the MAF sensor out of the old air bridge.
I did notice a performance gain, the car pulls a little stronger to the red line.
All right, all right I'll clean the engine compartment...Don't you guys have anything better to do...Like drive your cars instead of bitching about how dirty my engine comparement is!
That is what I get for taking a picture outside, with the sun behind me on a cloudy day!
It's ok, some of us just have to jump on any opportunity to show you the love
OH yes and while I'M at it.. if your going to show off an new mod.. make sure you don't give anyone any opportunity to poke their finger in your eye...
Did someone mention you need to dust off that engine bay before snapping that picture with the sun at your back, actually having the sun at your back is the way your suppose to take a picture..
Just for you from me with Love

No grief from me about a bit of dirt in your engine bay!
.....I drive mine every day in the schloppy yuk of Oregon winter rains....Like someone mentioned, a little simple green and a hose job will do a quick job of the engine bay, as well a bi-annual undreside steam cleaning . Right now my C5 desperately needs a vacuum job, inside glass clean, and another body/wheel wash. Hey we LOVE to drive the Vette, its a great daily driver. When the weather permits, I'll give the baby a bath...hopefully tomorrow
Ok you Concours Class spit and polish guys, you can give me some grief too for not having a show quality car.....I have no defense against that, but I can tell you I sure am ENJOYING my Vette for what it is designed for, PermaSmile Driving Experience

Drive it everyday...sometimes it gets dirty before it gets washed...but the smile doesn't fade.
I got carried away with engine bay detail in the post above,,,,,,Almost forgot to mention...I too was in on the Corvette Garage Haltech group purchase not long ago.....The intake sounds good, and seems to breath easier. Looks nice too. I found I had to install the filterhead to the MAF, and the MAF to the air bridge, BEFORE installing the assembly to the throttle body. It just was too hard to get the filter and MAF onto the airbridge after it was in place. I slipped the rubber connector onto the throttle body, and nozed the entire pre-assembled airbridge/MAF/filterhead into place from the side. Worked like a charm! My car has a tiny vaccum line that inserted into the side of the original accordian flex coupler. There was no provision for this on the smooth rubber coupler, so I punched a hole in the side of it with an awl, and enlarged it with a tapered drift, until the hole would open enough to accept the little plastic fitting. That was the only hickup to the install, not a big deal at all.
I like the Halltech..The car is a bit more responsive, and we get a little bit of intake growl to add more to the music with an open throttle. My husband was very impressed with the huge increase in cross section through the entire airway, and I have to totally agree. The Haltech airbridge is much larger and the entire path is much smoother...no accordian....
(By the way ignore ET's nasty comments and his fan club, they're like back ground static on the radio, after a while you don't hear the bad stuff at all.)
