Default Body Side Moldings

It's been suggested that I get a set of side moldings for my 02 vert.

I'm looking for opinions (I don't have one yet). Do verts look better with or without them.

Thanks.

Its all a matter of your personal taste. Some of us go through hell removing them, some of us go through hell getting them painted and installed just perfectly. For me, I think they are a detraction from the beautiful flowing lines of the side, everyone has their own feelings about them. Rest assured, no matter which way you choose, your still driving a great car!

I took mine off a couple of weeks ago and messed up the paint on the driver's side. I've an appointment Monday to get the mess fixed up good as new.

I'm still glad I did it. Car looks lots nicer without them.

BTW, you might want to do a search next time on some topics that come to mind. This one has literally been beat to death... ...with endless discussions on pros and cons concerning the BSM's.

Too subjective...only matters what you think. Look at pics with and without and make up your mind, its your car.

Thanks Red Racer:

I'll learn. I'm kind of new around here even though I signed up a year and a half ago. It wasn't until this week that I came back. I forgot about the search feature.

Yep, when it come to BSMs, you will find two very distinct camps here - those that like them and those that don't - and never shall the two agree. So, go with what you like.

I have a 04/Vert, mag-red II black top and black inside. It was a must to have them and I think it looks good. Plus it beats not having door dings.

Looks better on some than others but like stated above, it's just a personal preferance.

I like the BSM but if I was going to add things like side rockers/splitters, I would take my BSM off.

As others have said, it is a matter of personal preference. You can check my sig for an image of what they look like on a vert.

Ah! The BSM debate continues. There not for me. I like the lines of the car without them.

Personal - and heated!!
I removed mine and prefer no BSMs - other disagree.

As everyone has said, it's a very personal choice.

Good Luck!

Mine are coming off as soon as the car comes out of winter storage... I think it looks much cleaner without them, but as stated above, it's personal preference.

are you trying to start a forum fight??? geez, again with the BSM BS :
it's personal taste. i for one, like them. but then i like some cars without them too. i think c5's look better in certain colors than others. i wouldn't mention the colors because there are forum members that might hunt me down for such an opinion of their favorite color.
the c5 is a very peculiar car in that its shape lends itself well to certain colors and not others. i think it has alot to do with the lack of hard edges on the car that give it a very organic shape.
but that's just my personal opinion.
